Cow Parsley Woodland Sussex Miniature Painting

Delicate Worlds:

Exquisitely Detailed Original Miniature Paintings by Tracey Hunter Dale

Delicate miniature worlds to capture your heart!

Immerse yourself in a world of tiny artworks, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Individual brushstrokes creating meticulous detail to reveal the nuanced beauty of the natural world, of landscapes and seascapes local to Sussex or beyond, of woodlands and of flowers. Each painting tells a story of a place or time… perhaps evoking a memory and, hopefully, delighting the imagination.

Paintings to give shape to memory and mood. You are invited to slow down and lose yourself in my miniature worlds

  • I paint in acrylics on handmade, deckled edge recycled cotton rag paper (paintings are approx 8cm x 5.5m on 150gsm. Bookmarks are approx 15cm x 5.5cm on 320gsm).

  • Commission a bespoke original miniature painting based on one of your own photos. Commissions are usually supplied unframed to give you the flexibility to choose one to suit your preferred aesthetic. Take a look in the ‘Gallery’ to see some examples of my previous commissions.

Miniature Romantic Realism

Miniature painting Sussex landscape fields

My work speaks to a distinct sense of place, with woodlands, the South Downs in Sussex, wildflowers and seascapes often featuring. The natural world and changing seasons provide constant inspiration.

Seeking to capture detail in diminutive form, my style is ‘photorealism’: thoughtfully considered, small brushstrokes to translate a treasured photograph into a mini work of art, with a gentle charm, all of its own.
